Blending the precision of Savile Row tailoring with the poetic language of Chinese porcelain, Fragility explores a new vision of contemporary masculinity — one that embraces softness, vulnerability and quiet authority.

The collection reinterprets the symbolic rigidity of the Zhongshan suit through a series of hand-constructed silhouettes that reveal tension between structure and collapse. Inspired by cracked ceramics from Jingdezhen, Xu transforms the notion of breakage into beauty, using embroidery and piping as “fracture lines” that merge strength with delicacy.

Every garment is entirely handmade, following haute couture methodologies: canvas construction, pad-stitching, and invisible seams merge with layered organza and wool, creating translucent volumes that evoke the fragility of porcelain glaze. Through meticulous craftsmanship, the tailoring becomes sculpture — a reflection on how identity and material both endure through imperfection.

Fragility embodies the dialogue between East and West, tradition and innovation, hardness and softness.
